We were so excited to open our second supported house for the homeless.
The house will accommodate EU migrants with no recourse to public funds, who, prior to Covid could not access emergency accommodation and who, unfortunately, cannot access benefits and therefore have no income.
Many of them have lived in and worked in the UK for several years. We will be supporting them in gaining employment and further housing.
Our three clients have unfortunately been sleeping rough for over five years. Moving into the house today was very emotional and we are so happy for them.
We have been able to do this in partnership with Latch - Leeds Action to Create Homes.
